The Internet in Beirut

Believe it or not, the internet in Beirut is decidedly faster than it was when I left in June. But, it still leaves much to be desired. According to the BBC " In March this year web users in Lebanon were shocked (well, not really. We knew we had ridiculously slow internet!) to learn the internet speed in their country ranked rock bottom in the world. It came in placed 186th - behind Zambia, Vanuatu and even war-ravaged countries like Iraq and Afghanistan." The rest of the article goes on to tell how the government is taking steps to increase the speed of the internet. It is getting better....hope that this trend continues!
