Adjusting

November 18, 2011

It seems that my life is a constant adjustment right now.  Not having a place to call my own, means that I am at the mercy of my friends (and thank goodness, I have generous friends!).  But that means that I have to adjust to their schedules, their space, their lives.....and there isn't much down time -the way I want - any more. A few days ago I told a friend that I feel like I am stuck at the airport.  I can eat, I can sleep, but I feel as if I do all of that in front of the world and have little control over when and how I do everything! But today, because I am going to be staying at my current location for the next month, and because I felt like I needed it- I unpacked all my suitcases, put posters on the wall of "my" room, even put all my earrings on my cool earring holder.  Amazing what a little bit of my stuff does to a place!  Felt like home as soon as I walked in.
